Think of a time when you felt like bad things just keep coming and coming. I have been there plenty of times and it feels so difficult to overcome. On top of having all these bad things happening to you, It is difficult to stay in touch and be able to find time to read Gods word. We want to get all these things done throughout the day that when it comes to find some time out of your day to have your devotional it feels like a burden.
Matthew 11:29 says “ Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.“ This verse reminds me of times when I’m in my all time high with Jesus because of the peace that I feel in my heart. We all try to find that peace one way or another but at the end of the day the only pure peace that you are going to find is in Jesus Christ.
Matthew 11:29 gives us a great message because it reminds us that if we take our burdens to him take his yoke and learn from him you can be a transformed and find peace in him. I can’t tell you how good it feels when you truly find that peace. I encourage you to try it because it is going to make you feel invincible.
